Lake Snows Expected - Winter Storm Watch Issued

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a Winter Storm Watch for parts of the area including Wayne, Northern Cayuga and Oswego Counties.

Including the cities of Newark, Fair Haven, and Oswego

...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY EVENING
THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Accumulating lake effect snow likely. Total snow
  accumulations in excess of 6 inches possible in the most
  persistent lake snows.

* WHERE...Wayne, Northern Cayuga, and Oswego counties.

* WHEN...From Wednesday evening through Thursday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. The hazardous conditions
  could impact the Wednesday evening and or Thursday morning
  commutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Narrow bands of heavy snow could impact portions of the region.
Localized travel problems will be possible.
